Our old friend Tim at Dallas Car Buyers was hoping to expand his marketing efforts to get more leads from people here in Dallas looking to sell their old junk cars. This is a shockingly huge business and one that most people overlook since it seems like the only marketing this industry does it putting signs on the side of the road with a number and a headline about buying junk cars.

Since this business model isn't seasonal and probably isn't going away any time soon (unless the entire auto industry disappears) we thought it was a perfect fit. We tweaked his website a little and gave him some tips on how to attract more visitors. While this wasn't a crazy overhaul, it should help out in the coming months.

This was one of the trickier projects we've worked on. Our buddy Brandon has a construction company in the Fort Worth area that targets two niche industries by site:

• Retaining walls
• Pool demolition and removal

We had already done work for JCL when Brandon told us he also wanted to do work for his sister company in the same coverage area. We built another retaining wall site as well as a pool demo site for the cities in between Dallas and Fort Worth. MN Custom Homes is a more local company and Brandon wanted us to make sure cities like Keller, Southlake and Arlington were covered.

This is an interesting project for our company as we have never handled these niche industries, much less two branches of the same entity that handle the same projects in the same area. We also plan to help with social media on all four sites and to drive traffic via Maps listings as well. Pricing on this project was very reasonable and we will be providing updates (assuming it goes as planned) in just a matter of weeks.

On a side note: Is it Spring yet?

Toby at Strikeforce HVAC Repair recently contacted us with a few questions about their Google+ listings. This is common with local businesses and specifically with air conditioning repair companies - Toby needs help with getting his various local listings and citations updated. We are proud to help with this process. When a company moves to a different location, getting all your local listings on sites like InsiderPages and Yahoo Local to sync up is very important. It can also be tricky. 

We plan to do a case study on this AC repair company in the near future to show other companies how the process works. More to come in a few months.

Our friend Chance at DFW Appliance Repairs contacted us for help with his site. Chance runs a, well you probably guessed it - an appliance repair company out of Fort Worth. They offer a wide variety of appliance repair services and no job is too big or too small for their team. While they handle all of DFW, their primary coverage area is in cities like Keller, Hurst, Euless, Arlington and of course good ol' Ft. Worth. His original business, Texas Best Appliance Repair, recently acquired this new sales site as a way to expand across the metroplex.

We are excited to work with DFW Appliance Repairs for many reasons, but mainly because we somehow have gone years without doing any work in the industry. While we have worked with contractors of all types over the years since opening our agency, a repair client like this has eluded us.

​A mutual friend put us in touch and since this is an industry that caters to virtually any homeowner, it should be a great fit moving forward. DFW Demolition Company recently contacted us about ramping up their online presence. They are a local swimming pool demolition company in the north Dallas area that handles both commercial and residential pool removal projects with ease. We actually used them on a minor remodeling project at our office over the summer and look forward to helping them grow their business through a social media campaign and effective use of Google AdWords.

From lot clearing to abatement and asbestos removal, these guys have seen and done it all and have countless references across the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. We recently developed the Best of 75205 homes for sale directory - this is a directory focused at businesses and new homes for sale in the Park Cities area of Dallas. Mike at Houston Waterproofing was referred to us by a mutual friend in the Dallas area who buys his chimney caps from Mike. In addition to building quality custom chimney caps for chimney sweep companies in Dallas, Mike founded Houston Waterproofing as a subsidiary of his Dallas waterproofing company. He also works closely with a bathroom remodeling subsidiary in Houston and recently opened an office in the San Antonio market.
